Something big and wonderful has been happening at HSMC and we hope you’ve been tagging along.
We are beyond excited to have launched a Doggy Day Out program that allows our shelter dogs to be more visible in the community and out of the shelter environment alongside our Dog Advocate volunteers.
Our goal is to provide the dogs with an escape from the stress of the shelter while also providing an opportunity for enrichment and a chance to observe their behavior outside of the kennel. It is our hope that this program will help us to decrease the length of stay for our shelter dogs, lead to increased adoptions and will empower our volunteers to be invested in the work and impact they have on our organization.
