Bringing up the rear in the group shot is HSMC alum Huey, who was adopted 12/27/2013. He sure does seem to be enjoying life and playtime with his brothers (also graduates of HSMC!). The head shot is how Huey looks after all of that fun and playtime. This is what it’s all about!
Ben shows off his visit with Santa!
We just wanted to send you a picture of Ben. He is doing very well here. Thank you for bringing us together. He now has a little sister my niece got from CCHS.

Carmel, formerly Tiger, pays it forward!
I adopted “Tiger”, now Carmel, from HSMC this summer. I am happy to say she is an absolute delight! She follows me everywhere in the house, plays fetch, wags her tail constantly, chews through food bags to self-serve, and keeps her sister on guard for a sneak attack. I read the Facebook question on what my cat would ask Santa for and I know Carmel’s answer would be “Nothing, I have it made! Well, maybe a few more frizzy sparkle balls because I keep losing them…” When my family was in Wausau for Thanksgiving, Carmel put on a great show winning the hearts of everyone. Because of that, her “Grandmother” is donating $50 in her name to HSMC. I would like to match that amount in my Mom’s name (Grandma to Carmel) as part of her Christmas gift. Please use the money to sponsor the adoption fee for a cat, preferably an older or more difficult to adopt cat. Thank you for choosing me to be Carmel’s mom! Keep taking care of the kitties and other critters.

P.S. Carmel wanted to send a picture along with this letter to show you how comfortable she is in her new home and to tell you she is learning to sew!
Remember Dorian?
Do you remember Dorian who was adopted on 08/26/13? He is now named Buddy and is doing just great! It took a few weeks for us to get to know each other and once he got the “ok” to lose the “lampshade” he settled in just fine. He spent some weekends at the cottage where he saw lots of deer on his walks and even caught some “rays” on the deck (as you can see from this picture). Country living suits him. Buddy loves his long walks and had been trying to catch the grasshoppers that were jumping in front of him. Later he tried to chase after the blowing leaves so we have to hold on tight to him! We found out he is a real couch potato so we bought a cover to protect the couch but he sometimes wiggles his way under it for his naps! We have to be careful not to sit on him! He is quite the love bug but can be a lap full! So, a big THANK YOU for taking such good care of him for so long until he found his forever home with us!
Sincerely, Ken & Chris Sulzer & the “Budster”
